The qualifications of our music instructors match or exceed the qualifications of any other music instructors or music schools in the nation. Each teacher has extensive experience in instructing students of all ages and all levels of advancement, including young beginners, continuing students, teenagers, and adults as well as advanced artist students.
All of our teachers are extremely dedicated, devoted and caring. The longevity and loyalty of our teachers is another indication of the quality of our school. Several have been with Townsend Music School for 20 years or more. It is very beneficial to stay with one teacher as long as possible.

Motivation and Incentive
Recitals
Recitals are held twice each year, in the fall and in the spring. We use only the finest facilities with the finest pianos for our recitals.
Participation in recitals is encouraged but not required.
National Guild of Piano Teachers
Townsend Music School is a member of the prestigious National Guild of Piano Teachers, American College of Musicians. Each year students are given the opportunity to play for a judge. They receive a detailed report card, a certificate, and a pin.
Participation is strictly voluntary in the National Guild Auditions.
